The Utah Canoeing Trip – Days 4-5
I think I’m going at a relaxed pace. I’m taking a long hike every day, enjoying a relaxed breakfast, casually strolling around town. But I saw a pretty long list of things over the last two days. Artists in Berea, KY, The Louisville Slugger Museum, the Louisville Water Works, Churchill Downs, the Jefferson Memorial Forest. I sear I’m taking it slow; maybe the next few months will reprogram my brain to redefine how to relax?

The Utah Canoeing Trip – Days 1-3
If the first three days are any indication, this trip will be amazing! I got to spend mother’s day with my mom, met some cool adventure cyclists at a covered bridge and found a gem of a state park in Kentucky to spend a day. Can life be this good for a full month?

The Utah Loop Plan – 1 month out and about
My first BIG, post-retirement vacation is now underway. I will be out for a full month out with the centerpiece being almost 2 weeks of paddling on the Green River. Read more to see what the plan is, the truck I’ll be living out of for a month and my smiling, supportive wife.

Kerr Lake Days 2&3
Another day in the hammock reading followed by a day exploring a wilderness area and visiting John H. Kerr Dam.

Kerr Lake Day 1
I didn’t get much of a look at the lake today but I did put my hammock up and enjoy a nice book in a peaceful outdoor hideaway.

First Post-Retirement Trip – Kerr Lake!
I’ve been dying to get out and do something, anything, in this gorgeous spring weather. Tomorrow I’ll be taking off for a few days around the Kerr Lake area
